The poetry I write is intended to be thought-provoking in pursuit of expanding light and love. As well, I write about forms of loss such as death and dying. Herewith, I share that I was a former Hospice Volunteer beginning in 2017 for six plus years. During those years I gained great insight regarding what people go through who are “terminal” and how people cope after the loss of a loved one. Poems on that subject also have to do with the losses I have endured during my life as well as family and friends who have suffered such losses.

We must never be afraid to inner act with those dying and or those people grieving the loss of their loved one. And, according to Dr. Elizabeth Kuber-Ross whom I met and inner acted with for two days at her Arizona home in the year 2000, “Celebrate the life of a person who is dying while they are still alive.” My wife and I did so for each of our mothers, and such celebration rewards us with fond memories to this day.

Sharing heart to heart and spirit to spirit, knowing our subconscious is powerful and retains all, is a human gift to be accentuated when we realize that to receive we have to give out what it is we want. To that end, through my poetry is one way for me.

At www.BrionKHanks-Poetry.com you will get a great sense of me; see some newer poetry I’ve created, and there you can purchase Tales of a Traveler in Poetry and Prose, and my first book of poetry titled: When The Rose Fades. Sharing is caring.

By the way, as a retired Construction Safety Manager, I co-authored a 272-page book on safety and risk that is titled: Safety Under Construction. You will find it at my website: www.GlobalSafetySuccess.com. It has allowed me to continue making a safety difference, particularly on LinkedIn.
